This has to be one of the most dynamic sequences in the Cy-Boar series, but does it work? Flipping over a car, blasting two thugs through the roof and finally landing in front of the car and wrecking it by letting it ram into him…
I’m never sure if people looking at this page quite understand what is happening AND, even if they do understand it, is it plausible? I try to keep the action within a certain realm of “believability”. That means: although Cy-Boar always shows genetically modified animals and cybernetic implants, there is no super speed, force powers, super stretching power, spider senses, optic blasts, healing factors, etc. I think you get the idea… right? So, given these arbitrary “rules”, I think this page REALLY stretches the believability. Couldn’t he have stopped this car in about a dozen other ways?
Yes he could have, but they wouldn’t have been as FUN!
Another cool artist I met at the Wizardworld Comic Convention this weekend was Adam Byrne. He’s working on a comic book called “The Strange Adventures of H.P. Lovecraft” I suggest you check it out…-Lou Graziani 8-11-05
